OPENING ANNOUNCEMENTS
INTRODUCTION OF KNIGHTS & WARRIORS

Joust A' Plaissance (Joust for the Pleasure of Jousting) - a gentlemen's joust wherethe audience chooses the winner.
Joust A'Outrance ( Joust of War) - 2 Knights reenact a classic Joust of War where anything goes, including a terrific ground battle and an "unhorsing"!
Ring Spearing Competition - A contest forged of ring lances 10 ' long. The goal is to spear small rings suspended on a ring quintain, while riding at a full gallop. He who gets the most rings wins.
Spear Throwing - Knights with spears at full gallop attempt to hit the bulls eye on the target.
Ring Toss - the Warriors gallop toward the person tossing a ring into the air, trying to spear it with a broad sword.
Roman Riding Display - Demonstration of Roman Riding Skills standing on two to four moving horses!
Saracen Heads - A volunteer wears a helmet on which a cabbage or some other type of fruit or vegetable is placed. 2 warriors run toward them with their swords drawn. The warrior who cuts it in half first wins. This segment ususally offers some great humor.
KNIGHTS FAREWELL AND SALUTE
**40 to 45 minutes in length - this event lends it self well during the reception period. As their feast is being served to the Knights, horses and ground crews are preparing for audience participation activities.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION SEGMENT
Spear Throwing
- members of the audience throw spears at target (four at a time). This can be done while standing still or by running or in golf carts driven by knights.
Capture the Banner - a Knight defends his banner in the arena on horseback while the other attacks. When the attacker (on horseback) captures the banner they change roles. The Knight who captures the banner in the shortest time wins.
Saracen Heads - members of the audience advance, with swords in hand, in golf carts driven by knights, towards Cantaloupes placed on top of stand trying to slice the fruit in half, or at least hit the cantaloupe.
Ring Spearing - members of the audience hold rings for the Knights while they gallop toward them and spear the rings (not the people).
Ring Spearing - members of the audience attempt to spear rings on Horseback (3 or 4 at a time) as they are ponied or accompanied by Knights on horseback.
** This show is designed and is be carried out with a maximum of safety and fun in mind.
