OPENING ANNOUNCEMENTS
INTRODUCTION OF KNIGHTS & WARRIORS

Joust A' Plaissance (Joust for the Pleasure of Jousting) - This is a gentlemen's joust. Upon its completion the audience chooses the winner.
Joust A'Outrance ( Joust of War) - 2 Knights depict the classic Joust of War in which anything goes including and unhorsing followed by a terrific ground battle!
Ring Spearing Competition - A contest with ring lances 1O ' long, spearing small rings suspended on a ring quintain, at a full gallop. The competitor with the most rings wins.
Spear Throwing - Each knight has a spear and at full gallop tries to hit the bulls eye of the target.
Ring Toss - Warriors gallop toward person who tosses the ring into the air and the warrior tries to spear it with a broad sword.
Roman Riding Display - A Roman Riding demonstration of equestrian skill while standing on 2 to 4 moving Horses.
Saracen Heads - A volunteer don with a helmet on which a cabbage or other fruit or vegetable is placed. 2 warriors run toward the volunteer with a swords drawn. Who ever cuts it in half first wins. Usually a little humor is added to this segment. Renaissance program continued.,
KNIGHTS FAREWELL AND SALUTE
**This program is 40 -45 minutes in length and lends it self well during the reception period. As their "feast" is being served the Knights, their horses and ground crews are getting ready for audience participation activities.
AUDIENCE PARTICIPATION SEGMENT
Spear Throwing
- Audience members throwing spears at target ( 4 at a time). This can be done standing still, running towards the target or in golf carts being driven by knights.
Capture the Banner - One Knight defends his banner placed in the arena (on horseback), the other attacks. When the attacker (on horseback) captures the banner the roles are reversed. The Knight who captures the banner in the shortest time wins.
Saracen Heads - Audience members advance, sword in hand and in golf carts driven by knights, towards Cantaloupes placed on top of stand trying to slice the fruit in half (or least hit it).
Ring Spearing - Audience members holding rings for the Knights as they gallop toward them and spear rings (not people).
Ring Spearing - Audience members spearing rings on Horseback (3 or 4 at a time) as they are ponied or accompanied by Knights on horseback.
** This show is designed and will be carried out with the maximum of fun and safety in mind.
