The O'Donnell House is a Dramatic and Romantic Location for Your Wedding or Private Party
The O'Donnell House overlooks the city of Palm Springs and the rest of the Coachella Valley. This location is perfect for any wedding or private party as it has some of the most breathtaking views in the valley. It's name in Spanish is "Ojo Del Desierto", which means "Eye of the Desert".
The home was designed by Charles Tanner, a prominent architect, and and built in 1925 by Nellie Coffman, who built it for Thomas O'Donnell, a wealthy oil man. Nellie was the founder of the city of Palm Springs and owned the world famous Desert Inn.
As you approach the estate up a rock-faced road, you'll experience a sense of unreality and adventure as you reach the iron gates and see the words, "Ojo Del Desierto" on the gate silhouetted against the desert sky. It's location is on a sheer mountain ridge, and the expansive terrace will evoke many tender memories of your wedding or private party. |
