About Mikole and Carrie
Over his 30-year career, saxophonist Mikole E. Karr has traveled the world, playing with the best in the business, including Ti Lavitz, Johnny Hammond, Matt Marucci, Russ Freeman, Llew Matthews, The Chicago 6, The Rancho Santa Fe Big Band - (led by former IAJE Pres. Jack Wheaton), Brian Nova, Billy Brooks Big Band, John Tru Band, Billy Larkins, Ray Crawford, David Benoit, Yve Evans, Otis Rush, Bonnie Bramlett, and Cash McCall.
Critics and musicians have praised Mikole's sound. Bennie Maupin of Miles Davis Band said, "You hear guys trying to play like this. Timeless, his stuff comes off the dome!" and Tommy Newsome of The Tonight Show Band has said, "Very enjoyable, very accessible music to the listener."
Vocalist Carrie Landsgaard hails from the Southland and has been heard performing across the U.S. and around the world. Recently in southern California, Carrie has performed with premiere jazz players in top venues such as Disneyland's exclusive Club 33 (for the millennium celebration), the Ritz Carlton Palm Springs, The Wyndham Emerald Plaza Int'l Hotel San Diego and the Four Seasons Aviara.
