Thank you for your kind message. I have to say that the feeling is mutual, as you not only assisted in making the wedding process smooth- you were also a delight to get to know.
We returned to town today, and have received so many emails, voice-mails and notes complimenting us on a great wedding and evening for our guests (I must say that the kudos are sent to you and your team, as you gave us the tools for a successful event!!!)
I will send pictures shortly, and I look forward to hearing about the progression of your pregnancy, as well as pictures of the little guy upon arrival. Take care and talk to you soon.
PS- do you have the disc from the photo booth? we did not received anything with the album (I must say that the booth was a big hit with our guests, and we love the finished product) can't wait to see what went on behind the curtain....

Dear Laurie and the Events Department Team,
I have been looking at pictures of our wedding, and it is truly amazing how I missed so many spectacular things. Thanks to Michael, he captured all of them for us. This is a sincere, heart-felt thank you for what you, April, Lisa, Mary, Kurt and the others did for us behind the scenes for our wedding. I am one to have difficulty giving up control (if you haven't noticed) but we could not have found a more professional, organized group of people to keep it stress free. If only one of you could have escorted Jason to the tux shop, then we would have nailed the weekend. :)
Laurie, from the minute we met at the Yard House, I knew my wedding preparation process was in good hands. When you said that you were going to leave on the night of the wedding, for a brief moment I felt a sense of loss, but realized you and your teams' preparations allowed for the night to run its course.
Your hard work and dedication to Jason and I is still talked about amongst our families and guests. I am jealous that there are other brides who will have the pleasure of working with you in the future. Too bad for me that you are in the profession of being hired for a one time deal.
We didn't get to play our final song, but as Jimmy Buffet has sang before, "It's been a lovely cruise."

Hi Priscilla, Kristy, and Laurie... or should I say the ROCK STAR TRIO! You three are simply the best! I felt so pretty the day of the wedding, thanks to your magical talents! Thank yo so much for being so much fun to work with, so mellow, so nice and SO GOOD at what you do! What a dream day for me. Here are some preliminary pics of my hair and makeup from the day, as well as the slideshow from our photographer. He is going to send us the professional pictures tomorrow (or so he says) so as soon as we can get perfect shots to you, we will. For now, here's the ones we took while we were getting ready.
Again .. THANK YOU all so much. I want everyone I know to get married in the desert because it was the most laid-back and fun day of my life because I had nothing to worry about with a dream team like you.

I just wanted to thank you and your staff for a wonderful job. Michael was extremely impressed. Your staff is very professional. We couldn't have pulled this off without all of your hard work.
My dream wedding came to life.
The reception hall was decorated so beautiful, the flowers, linens, chocolate fountain. The photo booth was a hit.
Everyone loved it. April did a great job. She was at my side all night to insure all was well. It was as if she knew the moment I needed something she would appear from somewhere. I can't thank you enough for all you hard and wonderful work you and your staff did.

Hi Laurie and Lisa,
I am finally back from the dead...I slept for 3 days!!! I just wanted to thank you both for everything you did!!! Chip and I thought everything was perfect and we know that there was no way on earth any of it would have happened without the 2 of you!! I would love to be a reference for you both in the future so just let me know if there is anything I can ever do for you!! And I'm not just saying that, anyone who meets you would be a fool not to hire you. And I loved all of your vendors...in fact, Mary's flowers and fruit centerpieces were talked about by many...gorgeous!!!!!!!!

Well, it truly was an absolute magical evening, one that I will be thinking about for sure, the rest of my life, every single day! Everything went off without a hitch! ;-) Thank you all so much for creating such a fabulous environment for the single happiest day of both Erica and my life. The honeymoon was spectacular, and we even made it out with 75% of the time sunny days!! Not bad, considering all the rain that was reported! In fact, I am as tan as I have ever been!
;-) Thank you so much for creating a room that truly mesmerized Erica (and me). I believe that it turned out to be the fairlytale ending that i was looking to provide Erica, and the candles were just perfect.

Thank you so much for the out-of-this-world wedding you put together! I really cannot say enough what a breeze you were to work with and how relaxed you made us feel. You handled everything with style, fun and grace!
All of you suggestions were smashing successes... we got so many compliments on everything... from the fantastic Doo-Wop singers, to the guitarist who absolutely nailed my favorite song, to the car, to the food, the layout of the place, everything was just divine! Priscilla and Kristy were fantastic and made everything so mellow and easy before the wedding too. You couldn't have chosen better people for us to be surrounded by.
Thank you so much for such a stress free, fun and most beautiful night. We have never had so much fun and want to invite everyone to our anniversaries year after year! Laurie, you, your crew and everyone you hooked us up with was beyond fabulous! I don't think words can describe how perfect the night was. Thank you for taking care of us. Dear Laurie and everyone in the Events Department family,
I can't believe it's benn so long since our wedding! I hope you received the message we left for you on Sunday as we were driving home from Cree.
I know everyone says this, but our wedding was perfect! It was amazing how much all the work that went into it beforehand really paid off. And of course the entire staff was truly amazing -- everyone was friendly and extremely competent. I felt totally relaxed and just enjoyed the day and Greg had a total blast. We didn't want it to end!
I hope your knee is recovering nicely. Since you couldn't be there for the whole day, I thought I would share some of our favorite moments with you.
I think the best thing we heard all night was the wedding looked like an Italian move set. It did! The lanterns and twinkle lights hanging above, and the simple floaters on the tables were so magical. When the bouquests arrived at the guest house in a wonderful basket, arranged so nicely, that was a special moment too. All the florals were so organic and beautiful -- just what I had wanted. It was one of the hardest decisions for me, and I was so pleased with how it came out. Karina was amazing, and the VERY few times she ever had to bother me with something it was quick and easy and she helped me make the decisions when I couldn't! Most of all, so many guests remarked that they felt well taken care of -- and that is a direct compliment for you and everyone that worked at our wedding.
Laurie, you and your staff were worth your witght in gold. When Greg and I decided to have you help us with our wedding, I had no idea how amazing you would be. We know that you really went the extra mile for our wedding, and we both really enjoyed the bond that formed between us over the past year. I miss composing my long e-mails to you with a million questions. And I'll never forget your skills on the phone when we were trying to figure out table measurements, seating and linens.
Thanks again for everything, Laurie! Wishing you and yours a most wonderful, restful and happy holiday season and a great 2006!

I am a very detailed oriented person; I was very involved in the planning process. Laurie was very helpful, but did not force her ideas onto me. We worked together to come up with a solution to my ideas that were within our budget. Laurie and her assistant also came to our rehearsal at the church; they helped orchestrate the process and became familiar with our wedding party. The day of the wedding I was stress free. The photographers were on time, Laurie had a seamstress at my house for any last minute problems (which we had), the limos were on time and the flowers were beautiful. Honestly, everything that I planned happened and it happened on time! She even went to lengths to check us into our hotel room, bags and all. It was fabulous!
I would highly recommend Laurie and her services. She worked well with the people at the La Quinta Resort, and they had everything coordinated perfectly. She handled all payments to vendors for my parents. She knows the very best people in the area, and the whole weekend was first class, thanks to her suggestions. Most importantly, my mother was able to relax and didn’t have to handle any wedding day problems.
I would definitely use Events Department and Great Ideas Floral if I had to do it over. I cannot imagine how we would have pulled it off without them.
